Disable loading indication on visualizations on dashboard #5021
Comments
Maybe it should just be disabled when auto-refreshing - it's useful to provide feedback to a user action, but less so when they've not done anything? |
True, but we already have the indicator up in the top nav bar too. I think if it were a per-dashboard setting, then it's fine. My assumption is that dashboards are a kind of "set it and forget it" thing, where you get it up on the monitor and never touch it again. |
+1 on disable with auto-refresh |
+1 on disable with auto-refresh. We created a couple of dashboards and put them on screens in the office to monitor multiple environments. The flicker is really really annoying... |
We should at least be debouncing the loading indication to say, 2 seconds or so |
I think something less invasive would be better. |
👍 for disabling it entirely with auto-refresh. |

It might be nice to allow the loading indication to be disabled on the dashboard. My thinking is that users might have dashboards up on screens using a short auto-refresh and don't want to see the screens flickering all day.
I'm thinking about the dashboard in particular, but this might make a decent advanced config setting too.
