PipXtreme Configuration

To configure PipXtreme, Oplink Mini, Oplink, TauLinkModule, or other compatible telemetry radios, first ensure that the radio and the flight board are both running the firmware version that matches your copy of GCS. Then from the 'Tools' pull-down menu select 'Radio Setup Wizard' and follow the prompts.

Note: Flight board will not communicate over radio modem when USB is plugged in!

915 MHz Radio Link

Note: custom hardware is required for 915 MHz operation, standard hardware is only capable of 433 MHz operation. (Setting the radio to an unsupported band may cause damage)

Configure Flight Board

  • Connect the board to GCS via USB.
  • On "Hardware" configuration tab, set "RfBand" to 915 MHz.
  • Click "Save" and "Reboot".

Configure Radio Modem

  • Connect radio board to GCS via USB.
  • On the "System" tab, drill down to "Settings" -> "HwTauLink" and set "RfBand" to 915 MHz (note: the UAVO will be greyed out but can still be set).
  • Click the "Send" button (green up arrow icon), and the "Save" button (red up arrow on HDD icon) while the "RfBand" field is still selected.
  • Reboot board.
