Updating Modpacks

stairman06 edited this page Mar 22, 2020 · 1 revision

Modpacks can gain new versions over time. Whether it be a patch to fix a bug, a new mod, or something else, the ability to update Modpacks is important. Minecraft Manager gives you tools to do this.

  • Either right-click, or select the Profile you'd like, and choose "Update"
  • An update dialog will appear. If it says "no update is available," you're all set! You have the latest version
  • If the dialog says "a new version is available," you can update! Simply click "update," and it'll get to work updating.
    • Warning: When updating, only your worlds are preserved. If you've made changes, such as modifying config files, they will not be kept.
    • When you update, a backup is created of your profile. You can locate this backup at %APPDATA%\Minecraft Manager\backups

As a reminder, Profiles that have not been downloaded from Discover cannot be updated. You will have to update Frameworks and Mods manually.
