How to get the correct slack bot token

First click on the apps menu option in slack

Search for bots

Click on the bots option

Now click add to slack

Fill in the rest of the page but note down this token.

Now you can set the bot token in the environment variable or you can update the apps settings file.

If everything went well you should now be able to connect to your bot from slack
