This is done by using two new environment variables: + CI_PARALLELISM, the number of cores available per CI job. + CI_LOAD_LIMIT, the maximum authorized load limit (total number of cores on the machine). Both of these are set in the respective /etc/gitlab-runner/config.toml for each machine, in the `[[runners]]` section. This PR disables the CI for the private repository in order to remove the now lengthy redundant jobs.
This is done by using a variable acting as a tag to specify if the CI should be run or not. By default, on the public CI repository that tag is set, hence all jobs are always ran. For the private repository, no jobs will be ran by default, except for the
sync
job for the master or develop branches.To run jobs on the private CI, one needs to explicitly create a new pipeline and pass in as variable
RUN_CI_TAG = 1
.To ensure it works, I pushed a commit on the private repository, which you can find here. As you can see, no CI was ran for this commit.
