Not sure why this is closed. I just came across the same problem. As far as I can see there is only a documentation fix in this PR and that isn't even merged Other places where the same bug is encountered. Apparently related to this bug |

Since that issue is closed and is really about a lack of documentation rather than the actual impossibility of installing php 7.2, I've created a new issue #142 |
