Problem type: Video or audio doesn't play
Description: There is no video
Steps to Reproduce:
Mobile 4k vr video does not play. Audio is present but video is not. Even when setting quality for 1080 the video doesn't work. Firefox used to be the only browser that could playback 4k vr video but it isn't working anymore for some reason.

Browser Configuration
  • gfx.webrender.all: false
  • gfx.webrender.blob-images: true
  • gfx.webrender.enabled: false
  • image.mem.shared: true
  • buildID: 20210329095128
  • channel: nightly
  • hasTouchScreen: true

Thanks for the report. I was able to reproduce the issue on Firefox. The audio plays but the videos is not displayed.

Note:

  1. The video does not play on Chrome or Opera at all.
  2. This issue was discussed here Failure to enter immersive mode in DelightVR player MozillaReality/FirefoxReality#3301 , but the issue is closed.

Tested with:
Browser / Version: Firefox Nightly 210330 (🦎 89.0a1-20210329095128)
Operating System: Samsung Galaxy S8 (Android 9) - 1440 x 2960 pixels, 18.5:9 ratio (~570 ppi density), Google Pixel 5 (Android 11) - 1080 x 2340 pixels, 19.5:9 ratio (~432 ppi density)

Moving to Needsdiagnosis for further investigation.
@denschub what do you think about this, should we reopen the Firefox reality issue based on the above?

From what I can tell by comparing debug outputs, this is a duplicate of mozilla-mobile/fenix#19986. I'll close it as such, I'm watching the other issue, and will revisit the linked web-bugs once that's addressed.

Could you not have added a sample website that is not fucking porn??

@marcusx2 sorry about this, unfortunately we received the report from anonymous user, and we just investigate and diagnose the issue as it is.
Also it is a porn site, thus any video from the site will be porn. What we do is label them as "NSFW" and remove images if the content is explicit.
