Notes

Someone suggested this filter, but it breaks the page and won't load video, rating and comments properly.

Does this work?

cooking.nytimes.com##body:style(overflow: auto !important)
cooking.nytimes.com##html:style(overflow: auto !important)

Sorry, somehow I forgot to paste the most important part:

cooking.nytimes.com##[class^="nytc---modal-window"]

Works for me now.

Just a little thing, when you scroll down where the thumbnails of other recipes are, they are not loaded properly. But this seems to happen only to the pages that are behind the paywall (like the link above).

For example, this link: https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1015214-pecan-pie-truffles thumbnails are loaded properly.

Not sure if it's website side related problem or not.

Fixed by overriding height property:

cooking.nytimes.com##[class^="nytc---modal-window"]
cooking.nytimes.com##body:style(height: auto !important; overflow: auto !important)
cooking.nytimes.com##html:style(height: auto !important; overflow: auto !important)
