If GPU and CPU both in use, seems like CPU fan curve not function correct. |

Before this update it was impossible for me to set a custom fan curve because of the bios rejecting it, now I can finally set the one I want! Thank you so much! |

Testing it atm. Seems to work fine so far. Though an optional hysteresis feature would be nice, cause I hear the fans whooshing up and down often |

I've give up using this function... Now I'm using default setting.

@Summersoff<https://github.com/Summersoff> "same problem" in what sense ?

I bought my laptop in 2019, and Armory Crate didn't allow me to make manual fan adjustments. Since then, I've been researching for a solution every few months. Then I found you and have been using your software, constantly checking for updates, but I still couldn't find a solution for fan adjustments... until today. It's working perfectly now, and your software allows me to make manual fan adjustments. My device is ASUS TUF 506LI. I think the only thing left for me is one setting; being able to undervolt directly on my device without the ThrottleStop application. |

Working exactly as expected on G713RW. GHelper keeps on delivering! |

When I completely shut down the fans, I occasionally encounter a blue screen error. On the blue screen, I see an error code like 'fail tdr'. Prior to the blue screen, there are black screens resembling the graphics card attempting to restart itself, followed by the blue screen error. I don't think it's due to overheating because I monitor the temperatures and they usually hover around 50-60 degrees. |

Thank you! Works a lot better to control the fans on Zephyrus G14 2024 (GA403UI). |

Hey! I'm on the latest build above, but it appears the fan hysteresis has disappeared. I don't get the red text below the fan graphs anymore. Can you help? |

Hey man, just wanna say this is great stuff! With the F15 it usually sits at 85-90c during games but fans only hit 4k-near 5k now with this i was able to override it making things cooler (can hold back on the ext-cooler in the meantime) great work, thanks again! |

Hello! My device is 2021 Flow X13 GV301QH + XGM 3080. There seems to be a bug which is advantageous in case of high XGM temps but not so much for idle/normal usage. It looks like that the laptop's GPU fan speed is somehow tied to the XGM temperature. Also on the main screen and the red text, it shows GPU temp of XGM and fan speed of laptop's GPU fan. There is a mismatch with the fan speed % as well (i tried calibration). Another quick one for |

after testing it for a day I gotta say it's impressive how reactive it is, i'd even say "scary". I've tested some settings with this and it's really pleasant to have this much control over the fans behavior. I was calibrating the fan curve just now and wow.... I never thought these fan could go from 0 to 6000 RPM in 2 seconds. actually I think it's kinda worrying for the health of the fan because it really change quickly, even whith a high fan_hysteresis I hear really fast change beteween speed. Well if the intended purpose is to get high response time from the fan and precise control of the curve, It works great 👍! I really like the ability get under 2000 RPM, such a shame the native driver doesn't handle this correctly. |

Would having a fan_shift setting per power profile be an option? I like it running 100 in my performance profiles, but I would like it to run 0 when on silent mode. |

I want to try out this fan build since mine ain't working well (and being suggested it too). However I'm currently running on a tweaked ghelper build (mainly for dpi), How can I combined the fan build here with my current ghelper? |

Hi, when you said "Please test on your own risk (!) and only as a last resort in case you can't achieve desired fan behavior otherwise" did you mean to change config, or the whole update 0.193 is not safe, i want it without changing config, but only to do a little changes in cpu fan curves, would it be safe and it wont harm my laptop? just the fans are crazy in 0.191, so i want something that really can act as expected, can 0.193 be my default realease without problems? another question, what about 0.194, it seems to me good, is it also safe to make it default realease? |

Hello fellow community,
Recently I have discovered a way to directly set fan speed in percentage points for each fan individually.
It uses same method as MyASUS does when runs your "fan testing".
In existing and standard way to set a "custom" fan curve - fan behavior would be still handled by BIOS and follow it's internal algorithm. This BIOS algorithm is different for different models, sometimes includes a very high hysteresis (delays before acting), can override some custom fan behavior, etc.
In "alternative" approach, it's possible to actually literally manually set fan speed every second based on temperature readings.
This build implements "manual" fan control as soon as you check
Apply Custom Fan Curve
, when you uncheck it - fan behavior will be returned back to BIOS.Current implementation details
Potential downsides and risks
Please test on your own risk (!) and only as a last resort in case you can't achieve desired fan behavior otherwise
