What exactly is LTO unit splitting? Could you link some documentation? The PR you linked doesn't make it clear to me.

I don't know the details of it besides that it separates regular and thin units, which is required by the LowerTypeTests pass. Maybe someone with more knowledge about it can provide us details/more information here?
