Python .vsix file for vsc system install #20552

I'm trying to install the python extension on a non-networked machine by downloading the .vsix file from marketplace. I get a "not compatible with VS Code version 1.74" message. I tested it on my local PC which also has version 1.74 and it works just fine. The only difference I can find is that my PC has the "user" install version of VSC, while the target machine has the "system" installer (install for all users -- requires admin login). Is there a separate vsix file for the system install? Where can I find it? |
