The openssl version on my computer is 1.0.2.
Is it possible to run texlab in this older version?

Thanks for the report. We found a way to remove the dependency to libssl. In the meantime, you can try to build TexLab from source. The compiler should then link it to your installed libssl version.

I have tried to build from source, but I get "segmentation fault".
