NOTE: This desktop app is deprecated, since browsers now support Progressive Web Apps standard.

For running ImJoy offline, you don't need this app but just load https://imjoy.io once, or install it with the browser (how).

This Desktop App is a standalone version of ImJoy.io, it also comes with a Plugin Engine which is used for running native Python plugins.

Installation

Go to releases and download the latest ImJoy-App. Three types of operating systems (Windows/MacOS/Linux) are supported.

If you are going to use the ImJoy Plugin Engine on a server/cluster, you should install the plugin engine directly according to the instructions here.

Usage

Start the Plugin Engine, and connect it by clicking the 🚀 in the ImJoy web interface.

Uninstall ImJoy Desktop App

1. Delete the ImJoy-App folder
2. Delete the folder named ImJoyApp located in your home folder (path: ~/ImJoyApp).
3. Optionally, if you want to remove any data generated by ImJoy, delete also the folder named ImJoyWorkspace located in your home folder (path: ~/ImJoyWorkspace).
