Open Pension project is a project carried out by volunteers of The Public Knowledge Workshop and aim to enabling easy and clear access to data on pension savings, and the rest of long-term savings.
As of today - publicly accessible information about long-savings time is limited, the public does not know where his money is invested in pension and unable to answer the question - whether savings are managed properly.
To this, the volunteers worke on collecting existing data about pension funds and various investment bodies and making them accessible for the use of the general public.
Additionally the project allows to do surgeries on economic activity in the macro level - enabling researchers and policymakers to get a new perspective and convenient data on long-term savings of the citizens of Israel, in a way that wasn't available to them in the past, in order to improve the handling of this subject on the national level as well.
