By error, I placed DAO tokens in my second account in wallet. This is the newest version. I do not remember ever putting a password on this account...but now I can see what is in account, i can copy dress etc... but I cannot send it...as it tells me wrong password. I only have one password I ever use...and that one works on my main account. I have tried every conceivable keystroke and caps lock combination of my password....but nothing works. Please can somebody help me?

Make sure you are running version 0.8.1 - previous versions had a bug were every possible send error defaulted falsely to "wrong password".
Furthermore please have a look at ethereum/mist#669 as well as ethereum/mist#982.

I am running 0.8.1 and I have tried absolutely everything. I have tried every configuration of my password...I cannot send transaction...keeps saying wrong password. I went to myetherwallet...still locked in there..... but my main account works fine?

I have gone into password as I am using Mac OS, and it shows me passwords on all other programs....I have never had a password problem anywhere..ever

I have seen many other people talking about having a secondary account appear when first installing Ethereum wallet. I absolutely do not remember ever opening the secondary account...or putting a password in.

It could be that those accounts were created via geth at some point in time way before the user first started Mist. Unfortunately some users seem to forget about them and send Ether once they notice the account in Ethereum-Wallet.
From ethereum/mist#669:

As the account management of Ethereum-Wallet is done by its client (geth/eth) - you might be presented with accounts you did setup withing geth before ever using Ethereum-Wallet.

Additionally this could be implemented during the 0.8 branch:

Wallet should have ability to check which accounts are accessible ethereum/mist#933

Could you please give the geth account update command a try?
This might be helpful as this post suggests.

Do the following:
(assuming you already moved the Ethereum-Wallet.app into Applications)

  1. open the terminal.app
  2. paste and run:
/Applications/Ethereum\ Wallet.app/Contents/nodes/geth/mac-x64/geth account update YOUR-ACCOUNTS-ADDRESS

You will be prompted for your password thereafter.

Hi Lucas
So I fooled around a bit, phoned my son and found that my file path had Frameworks in front of node….put it in but comes up with no such file?

Any chance I could give you a call or some other means for us to interact? when I check contents…after node then get…if I click on that…another console comes up called geth

I would be happy to pay you if you can get this working…I am completely stumped

Thanks
