This set of structs and functions was adapted from the Go language text/template
package, as described by Rob Pike in this talk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxaD_trXwRE
(slides here: https://talks.golang.org/2011/lex.slide).
Slightly modified by John Jacobsen to work with a user-supplied set of lexemes and state functions, and to work as a stand-alone package that can be useful for a variety of custom lexers.
A simple example can be seen in the unit test
file.
For a slightly more complicated example, see lex.go
in this
project.
