This release allows for crossreferencing of line numbers from the manuscript document to the rebuttal letter, through custom macros:

This release is a (somewhat) significantly modified version of the OG. I prefer more whitespace and simpler font elements.

The original uses "RC" and "AR" to designate Reviewer Comments and Author Responses as sub-headings. This is done with a LaTeX prompt \RC and \AR. Multi-paragraph versions of either of those require \RC* and \AR*, respectively. The advantage to this approach is that it folds in perfectly with Markdown.

This version cuts out the Markdown and introduces LaTeX macros for quoted text. It puts the reviewer comment in a quote designated by a full vertical line on the left hand side (similar to how you would see it in Markdown or Slack). The author response is simply text in the LaTeX file. Both of these allow for multiple paragraphs to get passed in naturally.
