Change two digit numeric month/year display to use month name

Currently month/year strings are displayed as two digit values, eg 04/10, which is ambiguous and difficult to grok. It can be clarified by changing the display to use a three character month name and a four digit year, eg Apr 2010.

Question:
Possible variants include display using the full month name , eg April 2020 or numeric month with a four digit year, eg 04/2020. My recommendation is to use either the 3 character or full month name as it provides the best readability without taking too much additional screen space.
