# How to Reach Eisvana

Eisvana is located at the edge of the Eissentam galaxy (the 10th galaxy). You must have all glyphs unlocked in order to get here. Glyphs can be unlocked by finishing the Artemis Path quest or by talking to travellers onboard space stations and finding [unknown graves](https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/Unknown_Grave).

## Getting to Eissentam

If you are not yet in Eissentam, you can look at the featured bases in the teleporter in the space anomaly. Often there is a base in Eissentam that you can teleport to.

## Arrive by Portal

If you choose to get to Eisvana by portal, make sure you are in Eissentam. Portals do not work across galaxies.

### Locating a Monolith

You can locate a [monolith](https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/Monolith) either by using [ancient artifact planetary charts](<https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/Planetary_Chart_(ancient_artifact_site)>) or by using your exocraft's scanner if you have the [Radar Power Resonator](https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/Radar_Power_Resonator) upgrade installed.

### Locating a Portal

Solve the riddle of the monolith, then interact with it a second time. If you cannot interact with it again, you didn't give the correct answer to the riddle.

Select the "Locate a Portal" option. Note that it requires a Gek Relic, Vy'keen Dagger or Korvax Casing, depending on the faction of your system.

### Portal Travel

Activate the portal and enter the glyphs to our capital system: <span class="glyphs">406CA21107FF</span>

Step through the portal. Welcome to Eisvana!

## Get a Vana Van

We cooperate with PanGalactic StarCabs to give players a direct lift to our regions. You can open a ticket in their [Discord server](https://discord.gg/WgUdnbZJjh) to get to our space.

Alternatively, you can ping "@Vana Van" in the "#trades-and-services" channel of Eisvana's Discord server to get the same service.

**Note**: You should put down a base computer after you arrived, otherwise the system might not be saved in your teleporter list.

## Eisvana's First Anniversary (18 September 2024)

Eisvana turns one year old today! We have achieved a lot in the past year. We discovered all our star systems, started several building projects and colonies, made our own web apps, added more ways for our citizens to contribute, the list goes on. And we also managed to become one of the biggest civilizations in Eissentam within this year, with over 50 registered citizens! Eisvana stands for community involvement. All these achievements wouldn't have been possible without our awesome community! Thanks to everyone who's part of Eisvana! There are still a lot of ideas floating around, probably enough to fill the next 10 years! Onto a successful second year!

## New Capital Planet (18 September 2024)

The Worlds Part I update turned our old capital planet Accordia into a purple swamp. After a lot of searching, we voted on a new capital planet: [New Accordia](https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/New_Accordia)! The planet can be found at this address: <span class="glyphs">406CA21107FF</span>

## Embassy Planet (18 September 2024)

Eisvana now has an official embassy planet: [Avalonis](https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/Avalonis). Ambassadors from other civilizations and communities are encouraged to build their embassy on this planet or in the surrounding region "Imnito", which acts as our embassy region.

The planet took the second place in the capital planet vote. To not leave it unused, we decided to turn it into our embassy planet.

## Themed Regions (18 September 2024)

In order to better tie our lore and regions together, we are introducing regional themes! Each region also has a regional centre system that hosts something special related to the region's theme. We're starting with three regions, but it's planned to expand this to the other regions as well.

The themes do not strictly dictate what happens in a specific region, but rather set a rough guideline for worldbuilding purposes. So for example, if we declare a region as a "farming" region, farms can still be built outside of that region, and bases that aren't farms can also still be built in that region. But if you want to build a farm and don't know where, this might be a good guidance to narrow down the location.

| Region | Theme | Theme Description | Regional Centre |
| -------- | ------- | ------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Flinus | Lore | Lore-relevant builds (Beetle shrines, etc.) | EV1-10 Dabri |
| Imnito | Embassy | Other civilizations' embassies | [EV2-5D Veridia](https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/EV2-5D_Veridia) |
| Cuynteto | Capital | Most populated region | [EV5-6C Clarity](https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/EV5-6C_Clarity) |

## Atlas App (18 September 2024)

All star systems in Eisvana are discovered since 22 July 2024. To get a better overview over how much and what has been discovered where, when and by whom, we made a new web app: The [Atlas App](https://eisvana.github.io/Eisvana-Discovery-Data).
It lists all star systems, planets, creatures, minerals, plants, settlements and bases, as well as their discoverer and the discovery date. The data can also be filtered.
And on top of that, it also shows detailed statistics and charts made from this data. For example who discovered the most, when have the most discoveries been made, or how successful we are at properly renaming systems.
The data will be continuously updated.

## Census Management Tool (17 April 2024)

Our new Census Management Tool is now live. It is probably *the* most advanced census tool in all of civilized space, allowing for applications, updates and renewals all from within one app, and without the user ever having to directly interact with the wiki. And the best part: It's fully open source, so other civs can use it as well if they want to. The data for all citizens is queried from the wiki API. The forms are submitted to Discord as a text file, which can directly be copy-pasted into the wiki.

# One Year Eisvana

It's been one year already, that's crazy.

I've said it a bunch of times by now, but I'm still impressed what we've been able to do within just one year. 135 discoveries per day, 230 players who discovered something, 86 people who have built at least one base, 192 bases in total. 50 registered citizens, Hub-R status, one of the biggest civs in Eissentam. 8 custom web apps, some of them are also used by other civs.

We also moved some of the administrative workload from the small leadership team to the broader community: Votes were a key component of the civ from the beginning. A year and some experiments later, we have found a good format for posting them that's accessible for everyone.

Not only decisions were democratised, but also some more niche-mechanics of the community, like our photo of the month. Instead of doing the monthly photo contest and having to choose a winner, we instead just gave the community the power to upvote cool pictures. Any picture with enough upvotes gets automatically reposted to our #top-photos channel.

We (and Discord) also successfully fought the overwhelming bot wave that we faced at the beginning. There haven't been any bots in months.

And I haven't even started about the colonies and other building projects. The [Capital City Build](https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/Loopolis_Capital_City) was a huge success. Then we had the halloween colony, the western planet, a research system... And now there's a fishing colony planned. Really more projects than time.

I've already heard people talk about repeating the capital city project on the new capital planet, so I'm definitely excited about that.

We will also hopefully have some time to tackle the medal project in the coming year, which has been a concept for a long time now.

The themed regions have found their way out of the concept phase by now though: Originally proposed by YucaFrita as "Regional Capitals", they have evolved into whole themed regions with regional capitals that are specific to their region.

One big goal of mine was to discover all star systems. We also achieved that. The discovery data app needed some adjustments to work with all discovery types instead of only planets, but now it works wonderfully and is also very performant!

The next programming project will be to re-write the wiki page creator with a proper framework instead of the homebrewed-version that it currently runs on. That new version will also use some pre-made components like searchable select elements or expandable sections. That should hopefully contribute to the development speed. I'm currently struggling with some code architecture decisions there. These are the hardest, since decisions now will impact the whole code base in the long run. That's basically why we already had an entire re-write once, and now again. If a solution doesn't scale, it leads to headaches later.

I really hope Worlds Part II doesn't mess with planets again. If it does, then hopefully the capital and embassy system are both safe, since they're below index 7A.

There's, lots of stuff planned for the coming year. I'm really excited for all the things that are still on the horizon!
