Find Your Next Routine

This is an online web application that allows you explore exercises for specific muscle groups. I built this application with the thought of helping someone fulfill their fitness goals !

How It's Made:

Tech Used: React, BootStrap, MaterialUI, RapidAPI

A React Web Application that utlizes RapidAPI to pull workouts from a Workout API. The frontend is comprised of React.js and MaterialUI for styling and composing.

Optimizations

For this application I would optimize it by updating the individual workout page with videos to show users how to execute the workout with good form. The app would link to Youtube and look up related videos based on the exercise name.

Lessons Learned:

This application put the bulk of the concepts I learned from React in practice. Using different React Hooks help display the data from the Workout API. Also, MaterialUI helped build the bulk of the styling and responsiveness for my application.

Getting Started with Create React App

This project was bootstrapped with Create React App.

Available Scripts

In the project directory, you can run:

npm start

Runs the app in the development mode.
Open http://localhost:3000 to view it in your browser.

The page will reload when you make changes.
You may also see any lint errors in the console.

npm test

Launches the test runner in the interactive watch mode.
See the section about running tests for more information.

npm run build

Builds the app for production to the build folder.
It correctly bundles React in production mode and optimizes the build for the best performance.

The build is minified and the filenames include the hashes.
Your app is ready to be deployed!
