I'm a self-taught developer who began my tech journey while earning a Finance degree and working full-time. Curiosity led me to learn Swift so I could build an iPhone app I would actually use. That initial spark grew into building small- to medium-sized projects and exploring the broader world of software engineering.
Teaching myself was both exciting and challenging. I started learning with a friend, but quickly realized the value of mentorship and structured learning. Over time, I developed systems to study more effectively, track progress, and bring ideas to life through code.
After facing tough rejections when applying for iOS roles, I reassessed my path and decided to return to school for Computer Science at CU Boulder. That decision opened the door to deeper technical learning and helped me understand the skills and tools most valued in the industry.
I particularly enjoyed Discrete Math and building full-stack applications, which solidified my interest in logic, architecture, and systems thinking.
Iβm still exploring and refining where I want to specialize as an engineer. My current interests include:
- Software Engineering
- Cybersecurity
- Artificial Intelligence & Data Science
- Systems Engineering
I'm passionate about continuous learning, solving real-world problems, and building impactful software.
