These patches are from https://modrinth.com/mod/thorium under LGPLv3. I couldn't figure out how to implement these myself, though the code explanations are in the bug reports I just could not understand the underlying issue until seeing how Thorium did it. Thorium hasn't been updated in 3 years now, so I think it's safe to say it won't be updating any time soon, and no other mods fix these bugs either as far as I'm aware.
