Fallbacks
In many cases it is not necessary to explicitly map a shortcut combination for each individual element/effect you want to use. For example, for each processing module, you can focus, enable, show reset and various options affecting presets and multi-instance. Rather than shortcutting each of these actions separately, you can assign a shortcut to the module itself, for example Double press F for filmic RGB, by hovering over the label in the module header in mapping mode and then you can automatically reach additional elements via default fallbacks:
- Double press F: focus module
- Double press F (and hold) and left mouse click: enable module
- Double press F (and hold) and left mouse long click: show (expand) module
- Double press F (and hold) and left mouse double click: reset module parameters
- Double press F (and hold) and right mouse click: open module presets menu
- Double press F (and hold) and right mouse double click: open module multi-instance menu
Similar fallbacks can be (re)defined for other widget types via the shortcuts dialog; they are all grouped at the bottom of the actions list. There is also a set of fallbacks for any "value"; slider values, graph node y values etc. They all support "left double click" for reset, vertical mouse move or shift for x10 speed and horizontal mouse move or ctrl for .1x speed, with these speed multiplaction factors configurable as for any shortcut in the shortcuts dialog.
