Fwiw I completely agree that system colors should be built in to the Tailwind colour palette too. I raised it here #11930 |

I’m interested in using Tailwind on a project with Windows High Contrast mode (WHCM) support. Now that Google Chrome has gained forced-colors emulation support, I’m expecting lots more people will be interested in doing this – and this could be relatively simple to support directly in Tailwind writing plugins.
There are three things involved:
reducedMotionVariants
.For now I’ve gone ahead with making my own tiny plugin just for the one project:
and adding system colors to our theme. This works well as-is, but since I’m expecting this will become more and more common of a use case, I thought I should propose it here. If this sounds like a good idea but not-for-now I could also make a reusable plugin with all of the above.
