A short history

I created this project (originally VueTailwind) after I fell in love with TailwindCSS, his utility-first approach, small builds, flexibility, and how useful it is when working with big teams.

Something was missing, though. I saw myself writing the same classes constantly and creating new components every time I started a new project. ¿The worst part? That moment when you need to use a third-party component that came with a big bundle of CSS styles: ¿Do you feel the sensation?.

The idea behind VariantJS is that people can define their own theme once according to the design of their project by taking advantage of frameworks like TailwindCSS, which means that the library is

• Tiny: since doesn't need extra stylesheets (also is fully compatible with purgecss)
• Customizable: You can create your own theme and all the variants you need.
• Flexible: You can customize all the default settings

Why I need sponsors

I invest a lot of time on this project, believe me: a lot also I do my best to create a high-quality library ready for small projects or big enterprises.

It's not only about the time (that is the most important resource). A project like this one has another related cost like the servers, domains, etc. If you are a software developer, that I bet you are, you know well.

Also, I want to grow this project. My current plans are:

• Sibling library for React (and Laravel/AlpineJS)
• More components
• Better documentation and invest in branding

In the future, I would like to invest 100% of my time and even hire people to help to maintain and grow this project, but currently, I am very far from it since I'm an adult with bills to pay.
