After uninstalling TextSecure on one phone, the other phone still sends encrypted messages to it, which results in the phone receiving encrypted messages only. I'm not sure if there is a way of notifying key-exchanged partners about the uninstall but maybe this is of interest to the developers.

Good point, I guess you could detect the unregistration from GCM since it sends a "not registered" message to the TextSecure server when the app is uninstalled. After that, you could handle the exchanged keys on the server side.
