Join us in #railsadmin on irc.freenode.net and then:
- Take a look at the list of open issues.
- Find an issue you'd like to work on that doesn't have an @name label.
- Let
sferik
know which issue you will be working on in the IRC channel. For example: sferik: I will be working on issue #101 Then, I will label that issue with your @name. - Fork RailsAdmin on GitHub.
- In your fork, create a topic branch for the issue you're working on.
- Fix the issue. If you're adding functionality, please include specs!
- Submit a pull request and ping
sferik
in the IRC channel. For example: sferik: I have finished working on issue #101. Please review the code in my iss101 branch. I'll let you know if any changes need to be made before the code can be pulled. GOTO 1
Writing code is great but there are other ways to help besides writing code, including:
- Writing documentation
- Translating RailsAdmin into a new language
- Manual testing
- Writing failing specs for existing bugs
