A team would be preferable even if you're the only one on it, though I'd have no problem giving to you personally.

@seanlinsley - Currently I am the sole maintainer of PaperTrail (with a little help from the original author for guidance). I'm open and like the idea of adding more members to the team, but don't have others helping to do maintenance and what not at the moment. That being said, we do get a lot of contributions in the form of PR's and discussion from other users and the community, which is why I can't really say that I'm a one man team here. I appreciate the idea, but I don't work on PaperTrail for monetary purposes, I do it because I enjoy working on it and giving back to the community from which I have benefitted from so much.

I haven't had as much time to focus on PaperTrail in the last couple months, as I switched jobs in November and am still ramping up to speed with my new one, but I'm still trying to put in time when I can. If you really want to donate, my preference would be code over money (trying to look into merging some of the outstanding PR's relating to associations like #90, but I haven't gotten the chance to seriously examine it yet. I'll have to read more about gittip, but I suppose I would consider signing up for it. Thanks for the encouragement 😄
