How is battery life / current draw with the current design?
I have trichotillomania and this would be a fantastic help for me and many other sufferers. However it would mean we would have to wear it all day, every day to kick the habit.
From an environmental perspective I imagine we would need to change this to take a small rechargeable battery (possibly charge circuitry too) to result in less batteries going to landfill/recycling centres.

I was, in fact, thinking about this, the battery life part, but then your suggestion on having rechargeable batteries is a good plus to the situation.
Did you already tested the current draw?, I'm trying to get the pieces so I might do that as well.
Also, I'm impressed (not that much experience with rechargeable batts), but checking out there is not many places where you can get a LIR2032 rechargeable batt, plus it seems that it does not stand for that much amount of recharge cycles, of course with the amount of current draw and other things we might see if it is enough.
Maybe use another rechargeable battery, but not sure exactly which type since the size and weight are very restricted here.

Anyways, just writing thoughts.

I tested it vigorously for about 1 hour and the battery died, I assume the vibrating motor took a lot of the battery life, so I would say a few days maximum for general use

Ah that's a shame. Thanks for letting us know though. I've ordered a small Lipo battery (like you use in tiny handheld drones similar in capacity to a button cell) and a usb charger circuit for it.
Will report back how it works out, but I'm waiting on my IR Reciever, I fear it's been lost in the mail...

@Coedy, would you let me know which battery and charger circuit are you going to use?, Thank you.
