As IPLD will for sure break hash compatibility we can use IPFS 0.5 to release some other changes like:

hard limit of block size - Limit blocks files to 256KiB boundaries kubo#2122
using raw nodes as leafs
trickledag tree creation algorithm

Possibly other changes that are beneficial but not enabled by default as they would change hashes.
