Homebrew now has support for starting/restarting services like snaptel: https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew-services

I don't know who maintains the homebrew.rb but I'd be happy to work on adding one; a reasonably similar example is used by influxdb: https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew-core/blob/master/Formula/influxdb.rb
