Issue with as.is in melt.array #59

Hello: I am assuming this is related to issue #30. I would expect the following to return "character", not "factor".

exampledat <- matrix(as.character(1:6), 2, 3)
sapply(melt(exampledat, as.is = TRUE),  class)
