The recovery has been in use for a couple of months by now and everything seems to work as expected. Points of note:

  • Touchscreen calibration option is added to the UI, since it was present in the stock recovery
  • The board doesn't use standard boot images, but instead has one kernel and the bootloader loads the correct ramdisk depending whether it's a normal or recovery boot-up. This means the backup of the boot image doesn't at present backup the kernel.
  • The user needs to flash a modified MBR to the device to expose the kernel and ramdisk partitions to the recovery.

@koush what do you think about making an official clockworkmod for this device? Would ROM Manager support be possible? Would we need to make changes before you'd be happy with it?

@Saperxxx are you still using an A1(https://www.gsmarena.com/lenovo_ideapad_a1-4442.php) - this tablet is obsolete for many years now, so I'm checking if you're thinking of a different device here?
