Define the (relative) size of the legend in pie charts

I was wondering if the size of the legend in pie charts could be fine tuned, because I experienced a lot of cases where it is way too big, like this:

@almico There is now way to change the size in 4.x In 5.x, you have the ability to specify legend position, which could help you in situations like this because you could choose to put the legend items horizontally across the top or something like that.
