Setting runner_ami_filter doesn't work as expected

Would you be so kind a provide an example how to set the variable. I'm trying to set it up for hours with no avail so far.
The following doesn't work:

  runner_ami_filter = {
      architecture = ["arm64"]
      name         = ["amzn2-ami-hvm-2.*-arm64-gp2"]
    }

[lmilbaum]
