Help with powershell command for 2.0 azure devops pipeline

I changed my powershell script to run cake with the new 2.0, but i'm having issues.

The error you are seeing seems to be:

line #0: Could not find script 'D:/a/1/s/recipe.cake --verbosity=Diagnostic --Target=VSTS --Verbosity=Normal --solution=XXXX.sln'

It seems that there are some quotes here that don't belong.

I would suggest using one of the provided bootstrappers in the cake-build/resources repository.

The var solutionFile = File(Argument<string>("Solution")); looks fine and should work the way you expect it to. The yml - powershell: .\buildcake.ps1 --Target=VSTS --Solution=XXXX.sln looks fine, too. So this should work, too.

Here is a simplified project that exhibits the same behavior. use the powershell command .\buildcake.ps1 --Target=VSTS --Solution=Core.sln

That solution file doesn't exist, but for testing it doesn't matter

@nick5454, your buildcake.ps1 is a mix of your old script (starting with [CmdletBinding] and therefore containing a parameter set to ValueFromRemainingArguments=$true) and the new code I suggested (utilizing the @args Hashtable). Both don't work together in PowerShell. In your script, @args can not be used, you'd have to work with $ScriptArgs.

As I said above, I suggest using one of the provided bootstrappers as a start and use that (as a working example) if you really need modifications made to the bootstrapper.
