I want to compile firmware that will never write anything to flash, including restarts count, maybe we can have FLAG for this type of operation? e.g. disabling protection.

i'm using tasmota for 6 sonoff-basic connected after traditional light switch, so i have maybe about 60 module restarts a day and my sonoff basics sometimes go to recovery mode which is inconvenient.

Why you don't want to write ANYTHING in the flash area?
There are a lot of settings that are store in flash...
I do not understand the sense of not writing anything in flash memory

thanks for an answer, because i precompile all the settings to image. my light switches turns on maybe 100-s per day, one of basics died because of flash wearing. anyway i managed to comment out all the needed lines to stop saving things on startup.
