Improve array data types

Is your feature request related to a problem or challenge?

It would be nice to improve array data types: clean up the code, supports more data types and add signature.

Here are the tasks:

• Clean up the code
• Supports more data types (Struct, Intervals...)
• Signature for all array functions

I think @jayzhan211 has basically done this and the code is substantially cleaner (and different) than when this ticket was filed so closing it down. If there is any specific suggestion, let's open a new ticket to track it
