Describe the bug
White screen when trying to edit or create new post with 3.8... restored back to 3.7 and this problem does not occur.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to posts and either edit existing gutenberg post or create new
2. White screeen with admin menus visible

Normal editor

FYI: restoring Gutenberg 3.7.0 makes this issue disappear

I tried turning off almost all plugins except for Elementor, Elementor Pro, Astra Pro with UAEL plugin and JetBlog
White screen persists through all troubleshooting actions.

Do any errors appear in the browser console when you try to edit a post?

If you haven't already, could you try temporarily switching to a default theme such as Twenty Seventeen to see if the problem goes away? This will help rule out the theme just in case there's a possible conflict there.

Do you host your site yourself or do you host through a company?

I searched and found a few other similar-sounding reports and wanted to note the resolutions from a couple of them in case it helps your case too:

I had some trouble with a blank screen during beta testing for 3.8 and the problem was traced back to a Mod_Sec rule blocking one of the polyfill files in my case. I contacted the host and they were able to fix the problem.

ugh, after upgrading back to 3.8.0 and making an unrelated change to php config it is no longer occurring.

Thanks for writing back! Maybe the change was related somehow? May I ask what you changed in your php config?
