Escape command not working in recommendation feature

On the model I went to CustomerData / consequences Panel / Loss of Authenticity and then "get recommendation" button (at the bottom).

The popup starting recommendation come out and it was stuck on "trying different control strategy options" for a while.

I pressed ESC and the dialogue box "Abort Recommendations" appeared

I pressed "abort recommendation" and the system was stuck there for a while. In one instance it escaped correctly, but normally it takes a lot of time and does not complete.

When closing the windows and reopening the model from the dashboard, the model was loaded correctly and there was no sign of any ongoing escaping process.
