Device info

  • Phone type: Nokia Lumia 625
  • App version: (e.g. 1.0.52)

Steps to reproduce

GO above 30 mph or whatever
drive past a stop and click on it
tap the stop and the "searching pokestop appears"

Actual behavior

The spinning wheel appears as you drive past a stop and once your close and click it, the wheel is just stuck and then says stop too far

Expected behavior

Supposed to search for stop once your close and driving past it and not delay searching for stop

Other information

Can you add something, when you click the X on the pokestop and it searches, show the items u get on the main game like in the actuall game

The image below shows what i mean by clicking the X while the pokestop have shown your items on the main map VVVVV (NOTE: Taken from Google Images, not my actual game)

You have a wild golem and sandsrew just standing there waiting to be caugth? Where do you live, in pokemon eldorado?
But honestly, I don't think passenger support is in the version.

On the back-end, the radius for being able to trigger a Pokestop is pretty small. It all depends on where you are when you click on the Pokestop... everything is controlled by the server, so if it reports you in a position that is too far away, it's not likely to get counted.

You can also be rate-limited by the API, at which point we have to wait 11 seconds to retry. It is likely that you just ran into this situation... all of which is outside our control.

I'll leave it open for a bit in case you can gather more information, but really at this point the best bet is to pull over, wait a few seconds for the game to register your position, and then swipe.

In this latest update, we can visualize the pokestops at good speed but, if we want to open them, you have to rotate less than 25 km/h. I must also say that the perception of deceleration is slow ... Understanding this, the fun is guaranteed!

@Dragoncat4 the image was found off Google, that is not my gameplay

i only put that image so you can see the items you get from the stop are on the right hand side when you click the X button after you open a stop if you either need to open another stop or catch a pokemon, it will be nice to see what you have obtained from the stop instead of having to wait for the whole image to spin to display your items. It would be nice to implement the bubble feature like when you level up, it shows you the items you recieve.

@robertmclaws what i'm trying to say is when (in my car in the passenger) whenever i click the pokestop when we are next to it, the spinning wheel shows and delays it for 5-10-15 seconds and i cant back out of it, i have to wait for it to load. Sometimes it will actually give me the items or it will just say "Too far away" when i pressed the image when i was right next to the stop. And also its annoying having to wait because i get a vibration from the pokemon and i cant get it if the over lay of the wheel is there
