Terminal is acting oddly

Describe the bug
Long command lines wrap around, but do not advance a line at the bottom of the screen.
Scrolling though command histories sometimes mangle the terminal
Editing command lines cursor isn't in the right spot
Line feed doesn't trigger carriage return when pasting (terminal or vim)

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Expected behavior
Expected long lines to wrap and advance lines at the bottom of the screen
Expected history scrolling to work correctly.
