dfsu3D (time, elements) to Netcdf (time, elements, depth)

Hi to everybody,
i'm currently dealing with the conversion from a dfsu 3D (with layers sigma and zeta) to a netcdf whose variables should have (time, element, level) coordinates: that is, i need to elaborate element-based dataset into a element and level based dataset, to delivered as output in a forecast operational chainl. i saw there is the possibility to do a horizontal plane data extraction (with mike 2024 upd 1 - Mike zero toolbox) and a possibility that i'm thinking of would be to launch it for different depth levels and after that to load via mikeio the information of all the dfsu2D produced in a netcdf by adding depth coordinate. But i was wondering if anyone has ever had to do this manipulation and could help me only via mikeio and xarray. thanks!
