the following comming on my for of your upstream should provide the minimal
delta without namespace changes:

It would be great if these fixed made it into Net::SAML2's upstream.

This was merged into https://github.com/xmikew/perl-Net-SAML2/ and my repo is a fork based on a fork of that tree so these changes are in https://github.com/timlegge/perl-Net-SAML2/ which will form the next release
