The tag wasn't copied

Hi @spenserblack, I've forked, but when I looked for the tag but it wasn't copied along with forking the repo. 😢

Once I got the tag copied from your repo, I was able to use the git bisect command. Thank you!! I've never used it before and like I've said I didn't even know that was possible with Git. It is a handy want to find where a bug has been introduced.

Yeah, tags aren't copied over to the forked repo, unfortunately. TBH, I had forgotten that GitHub didn't do that, because when I clone with the GitHub CLI it will sync tags with the upstream repo locally.

I'd happily take some suggestions or a pull request with clearer instructions so that someone else doesn't get confused in the future. Forking isn't really necessary for completing the tutorial, so I think the simplest instructions would be to make it more clear that you don't need to fork. And maybe some additional instructions on how to sync tags if you do choose to fork.

I've very limited experience with GitHub CLI, unfortunately. 😢

I'll think about doing some modifications in my forked instance, then submitting it to you. Maybe over the Fourth. I'd agree that it probably doesn't require forking the repo. Just cloning it out of your repo should be sufficient.
