items don't display on drafts

Just finished building a posts to posts solution and selected related posts are displayed only once the post is published. Is that a bug?

Just to make sure I'm not misunderstood - related items are already published, only the containing post is a draft.

I think you have to add the last line (to_query_vars) to your connection definition in functions.php.
