Add field type : taxonomy

It would be great to add the post_tag field with its default widget. Any plan on this ?

What would be the usecase for that?

I can give you my example :

I got 2 custom post types : musicians and bands
I got one custom taxonomy (non hierarchical) : instruments

I'm using P2P to make a relation between musicians and bands, my connection is called : members
I'm adding an extra field on this connection for the instrument played by a specific musicians in a specific band.

for example :
Robert plays keyboard in the band "SBC musix"
He also plays the guitar in the band "123 baby"

Yeah, that makes sense, but you could also make "instrument" a plain custom field (text or dropdown).

for the moment I'm using a text field, but it would be nice to have the benefits of the post_tag behaviour :

• auto completion
• storage of all terms, can list all the instruments on the front-end
• avoid duplicate of mispelled terms ("Guitar" and "Gitar" for ex.)
