Paginated connections on admin metabox

Hi,

I'm using your plugin in a project, it is really good for what i want to make :).
But there is a 'problem', when i have related numerous elements to a post_type the admin page do not load fully or take several seconds to do it.
Is there any possibility to put an ajax pagination on elements selected like the search do, just putting the 10 first elements ?
I don't have found the solution in the wiki page, is there an entry for activating this feature ?
Or do i just have to rewrite the entire metabox ?

How many is "numerous"?

Like 100/200 ( one time on big test I had 500/1000 relations ).
The point is that I have server ressources restrictions ( like 40M of RAM... ) and i have memory_limit very quickly. If i want to display 100 posts in the admin table, it's impossible.
I know WP need at least 64MB for comfortable usage but It's impossible for me to have than 40MB...

It's tricky, because connection fields are saved when saving the post:

1. Modify a connection field on the first page of connections.
2. Go to the second page of connections.
3. Press Save.

If connections on page 1 are removed from the screen, the changes you made will not be saved.

Also, you can't have drag&drop reordering once you introduce pagination.

ok i see the problem... In my case I do not need the ordering support, but I do not see a solution right now for this, maybe a full javascript solution, like multiple javascript objects with wp_localize with in them the connections by page and when saving, the javascript generate the right inputs for the POST ?
Maybe it's too heavy for the user-side :/

Another solution could be to save that particular field via jQuery when you go out of focus. Other than that, only other option is to set up a custom meta box.

I've recently had a box containing about 200 connections and it was manageable. You can collapse the box when you don't need to see the connections.

I've stumbled on the same desire. I am testing now with about 300 connected items, and it makes the page very lengthy, but when I will upload the full list of items, there will be pages with more than 1000 connected elements and collapsing the box will not help in the slightest. Most likely, it will have more significant issues. The temporary solution will be not to register connection when this page is opened in the editor and by doing this obscure these connections, but I believe it is not very convenient way. Users will be expecting to see something.
