When will md-item/md-card be promoted to stable (put outside labs/)

Hi, do you know when md-itme/md-card will be promoted to stable?

I'm looking at migrating https://gerrit-review.googlesource.com/q/status:open+-is:wip from using paper-item to md-item and paper-card to md-card, but it's under labs/ so not sure if I can use this yet?

I've successfully migrated from paper-card to md-filled-card with https://gerrit-review.googlesource.com/c/gerrit/+/481546. It looks like:

Seems like it is stable to move it from labs?

To promote it to stable, do you just move labs/card to card/ or is there another process which makes it not as simple as doing that?

Seems that inside google, you can't depend on the labs/ component :(

Well luckily I'm also the one who makes the rules on who can use what internally 😂

I'll reach out to the folks from that gerrit review to find out more. I'm not opposed to adding an allowlist so they can use them.

For md-item, you could use it but I'd suggest using the md-list-item wrapper if possible, unless you need a layout-only feature that doesn't include list item accessibility semantics.

I think the replacement for us is going to be md-menu.

We currently do https://github.com/GerritCodeReview/gerrit/blob/4a68c972d71b4846cccf39cddf8582e1e05eef43/polygerrit-ui/app/elements/shared/gr-dropdown-list/gr-dropdown-list.ts#L271. gr-button is upgraded to md-text/elevated-button.

I guess potentially md-list-item instead of md-menu-item since we do separators.
