Custom localization for dates in variables

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I like to use darktable in English because it makes easier following tutorials or tips found online; but I also like to have month names in Italian in my folder structure (using the $(EXIF.MONTH.LONG) variable).

So I'd like a way to specify a locale for variables different from the one used for the UI.

Describe the solution you'd like
A modifier like $(EXIF.MONTH.LONG|it_IT), $(EXIF.MONTH.SHORT|it_IT), and so on... or $(EXIF.MONTH.LONG[it_IT])

Alternatives
A second combo-box in the General section of preferences to set the default locale for variables.
